THE PLAN TO WIN

The 2020 results are in: We won. Way to Win worked with movement leaders across key battleground states to fund a data-driven, progressive strategy that delivered the White House and sets up our work to win in 2022 and beyond.

The 2020 cycle was replete with opportunities stacked upon opportunities: to win the White House, the Senate, the House, state chambers, Governor’s races, and local races. Now we know the effects of the ballots cast and that the work we collectively executed will affect policy outcomes because we elected the right people while expanding the electorate centering women, Black, brown, and other communities most impacted by injustice. And, we know there’s still more to do.

Based on data and carefully analyzed electoral and demographic trends, The Plan to Win took on over 293 races up and down the ballot that underpinned the path to the White House and Congress. And, because we know the way to win, not only did we fight to defeat Trump, but in doing so, we prepared for a new era in governance. By centering local movements, our investments will yield results far beyond short-term wins—laying the foundation for long-term power.

Alina Tonu,
Advising Manager

The political industry was built by consultants, not by the movements powering change. Way to Win members are individual donors, donor advisors, and institutional funders working to upend philanthropy and politics as usual.

Way to Win members have access to top-notch advisors and to a community of like-minded donors and strategists, while creating a robust and reliable revenue stream to support Way’s staffing and operations. This enables us to focus more of our time and energy on resourcing the work before us—our number one priority. There are varying levels of partnership available ranging from $5,000 and up. If you’re interested in joining or if you’d like to learn more about the different membership levels and benefits, please reach out to our Director of Membership, Leah Marsters.
